Idaho-Based Technology Company Quadruples in Ten Years

Tech in office

It’s difficult to imagine an 81-year old digital solutions and technology company could keep driving upwards but Idaho-based Fisher’s Technology not only stays relevant – they’ve actually grown in the past decade. Much of Fisher’s recent success comes from the expansion of services, the expansion of locations, and the appointment of President and CEO Chris Taylor. Taylor has helped Fisher’s thrive by shaking up the local industry and helping the company not become just a successful outfit but a resource to the local community.

Chris Taylor took the reins of what was then Fisher’s Office Supplies back in 2001 and the company has been on an upward trajectory since. Many tech and digital companies have faltered when they couldn’t keep up with modern customer needs but Fisher’s has managed to quadruple its employee size while expanding their services at the same time. According to Chris the success comes from offering a great customer experience and Fisher’s unique ability to help offices understand how to use their office equipment with efficiency. Chris keeps the mission statement of Fisher’s simple and direct – “make our customers extremely happy with their office technology.”

During his tenure, Fisher’s Technology has been recognized as one of the 5000 fastest growing U.S. companies four times, named the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce 2013 Small Business of the Year, The U.S. Chamber’s Top 100 U.S. Small Businesses of the Year in 2014, and Fisher’s was named both the Best IT & Tech Support Services Company and Best Office Equipment Company in Idaho in 2017. For all the accolades Chris himself was picked as one of the 2014 CEOs of Influence by the Idaho Business Review. Fortunately, the Fisher’s team the success doesn’t come at the cost of employee morale as Fisher’s has been named one of ‘Idaho’s Best Places to Work’ for nine years running.

Chris also believes in serving the community that has helped Fisher’s grow by serving on the Board of Directors of the Idaho Youth Ranch and the Board of Directors for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Fisher’s has been growing since 1936 when they first opened but the leadership of Taylor has taken the company to new heights with the ability to help more customers than ever. As long as Fisher’s keeps their mission simple, Taylor looks forward to at least another decade of serving managed services in Boise and surrounding areas.
